REstart Red Carpet Event
One of the highlights of the program was Red Carpet Day, on June 7th, when the recent graduates of the REstart program took a little time away from interviewing, job shadowing and learning and spent some time on inner reflection and pampering. The graduates started their afternoon with a motivational speech by Tasha Hunt with Cake Poppers Etc. by Tasha who highlighted her journey to business ownership. They were then treated to an inspirational dance by April Turner with Destiny Dance before enjoying a scrumptious lunch by Errick Driskell with Intense Flavors. During lunch the graduates spent time networking with the business owners who sponsored the event. And then there was time to shine! The graduates rotated between wardrobe, hair, nails and makeup to prepare for their first time down the red carpet as our newest Residential Property Interns.
The graduates looked AMAZING! The exterior transformation was not as impactful as the internal transformation. They left feeling powerful and ready for their next step in life… PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. As they walked down the red carpet they were all holding 3 words that described the REstart experience from their perspective. With words like Uplifting, Accomplished and Humble the graduates made their way down the red carpet in front of their sponsors, educators, mentors and volunteers and donors of the program. It was truly a special time for everyone in the room.
