Maggiano's Little Italy, Tysons Galleria

This dinner meeting has been rescheduled due to weather for Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 6:00 pm at Maggiano’s in Tysons.

National politics is always on our minds in light of our proximity to D.C. but change starts on the local level. The Virginia General Assembly convened for its 2018 legislative session on January 10. The legislature will meet for 60 days during which time it will consider and act upon as many as 3,000 proposed measures. Virginia House of Delegates members Marcus Simon (53rd District-Falls Church and Fairfax County) and Mark Keam (35th District – Fairfax County) will be our panelists with moderator Debbie Santano, Director of Property Management at Brandywine Realty Trust.  Learn more about the issues that matter to property managers including:

  • Metro Dedicated Funding Bill

  • Mandatory acceptance of Section 8 vouchers.

  • Clarifying the burden of proof for real estate assessment appeals.

  • Implications of mandatory benchmarking of all commercial and residential buildings over 50,000 SF.

Cost: $65.00

At this meeting our Community Action Committee will be collecting items for Shelter House, a community-based non-profit that provides housing and services for those in need, including victims of domestic violence. Please click here to see suggested items to donate to this cause.
